Dell is recalling and offering free replacement notebook batteries that were sold between October 5, 2004 and October 13, 2005 with some Latitude, Precision and Inspiron notebooks. It is possible for the batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire.

The following models are affected by this recall:

Latitude - D410, D505, D510, D610, D800, D810
Inspiron - 510M, 600M, 6000, 9200, 9300, XPS Gen2
Precision - M20, M70
